Without really trying to, I got the fine details / shading to appear in-game and made the colors completely customizeable. I am currently aware of the sigils not showing in all colours but if you mess around with the colour settings you will be able to get it to a colour that suits your background. If you are used to think from CK2's 'event perspective', you need to start thinking from Skyrim's 'puzzle perspective'. The rotative pillar mechanism used in this quest is based in Skyrim's puzzles.
